I joined Mauna after getting to meet a few of the coaches in St. George. I was drawn in by the global, eclectic diversity that makes up the entire team (coaches and athletes) and love that we represent the full spectrum of triathletes (pro’s, top level amateurs, all the way to people just getting started). The team is super cohesive and has great communication, even with most of us being remote/not in the major hub cities (e.g. San Diego/Boulder). They’ve also been able to partner with the best brands in the business and are always looking for new partners to continually evolve and stay current in the triathlon world. These partnerships, along with the welcome kit, make joining the team a financial “no-brainer”, but it’s the people and the culture that makes you want to stay and continue on with the team. I will definitely be joining next year!

The purpose and tone of what they were doing seemed like a perfect fit for an average Joe like me...
I had done a couple of half marathons but trying to jump into triathlon I knew I needed a coach and a team to get involved with. The content from Mauna in social media really caught my eye instantly to want to know more. The purpose and tone of what they were doing seemed like a perfect fit for an average Joe like me who works a full-time job but wanted to get a taste of the tri world.
