Why After a Year Our Team Is Still Obsessed With Amp Human

Our team has had the luck of working with Amp Human for over a year, and although our coaches and athletes love the product, we were still curious enough to understand how it works from a scientific perspective. What sparked our curiosity? Recently, the Park City based company entered into a US Air Force research contract focused on human performance. So, if there is enough scientific evidence for the US Air Force to potentially use this for “optimizing human performance, wellness, and resilience”, then we want to know what it is. Furthermore, if professional cyclist, triathletes, NFL, NHL, and NBA players swear by it, should you make the jump and use it as too?

The lotion can be also used for improving your muscles recovery. I have used it consistently for over a year now, and the results are noticeable. I lean a lot on nutrition for recovery, but putting them together is the trick. For recovery, having the lotion on your skin after working out will alkalize your muscles and limit lactic acid impact. As a consequence, it reduces soreness as your muscle (with lotion) continues to lower its pH.  All in all, the better the recovery, the quicker you get to do it again. For me soreness tends to fatigue me mentally as well as physically, as I don’t like working our when sore, so being proactive and applying the lotion after a workout is key to preventing lost training days.

Apart from the science that backs it up, after a year of using Amp Human’s PR Lotion, it has become an indispensable tool in our triathlon toolkit. For the amount in the bottle and the all-around benefits of using it, we find the price really reasonable. Even though last year didn’t see much traveling and competition, our team applied it for general training and recovery, and we all agree that it makes a real difference on our muscle’s capacity and speed in which they recover.
