About Sergio

Bio

Sergio’s journey began when he hit a point in his life in which he was completely unhappy with his health. He decided to make a 360° turn and take complete control. With more than 100 pounds overweight, Sergio decided to take on endurance sports to challenge himself to be better and live a healthier + more balanced lifestyle. This took him from bearly being able to run around the block, to being a top Age Grouper and competing at the Ironman World Championships.

Sergio is passionate about guiding athletes in their athletic journey. His coaching style promotes a balance between life and sports through the ups and downs. Sergio loves to work with athletes that understand and value the concept of short and long-term improvements. His coaching style cannot be squared into only one style, instead, he likes to learn from the athlete, their aspirations, priorities, and lifestyle first, and then adapt the training to their unique needs and preferences. As a coach, he puts on different “hats”. Some athletes need a mentor, some athletes need support, some athletes need a guide, and some need an extra push to face challenges. Sergio enjoys learning about each of his athletes individually, and then adapts his own style to what their needs are.
